The Sr. VoIP Firmware Guru will be responsible for developing and formalizing software requirements specifications, software architecture specifications, and writing software for telephony products. The selected candidate will also be responsible for providing technical leadership and day-to-day coordination for an off-shore engineering project team. Duties will include development of telephony application software and modification of SIP protocol stacks to meet product requirements. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE· Extensive experience with advanced SIP communications messages including REFER, NOTIFY, DTMF relay, and incoming calls with early media.· Deep knowledge of the C and C++ languages and demonstrated experience using best practices for software engineering in a team environment.· Experience programming low-level inter-chip communications protocols like Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), I2S, and I2C.· Demonstrated ability to create documented designs for firmware based on a system architecture specification or similar requirements document· Experience using emulators and JTAG debuggers to locate and resolve problems in real time software.· Demonstrated ability to resolve interoperability problems between a VoIP phone and an IP-PBX by making required corrections to the telephony software application or SIP stack.· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team based environment including the ability to communicate efficiently, establish a clear set of development goals and priorities, quickly make decisions, and turn plans into action.· BSEE/BSCS or equivalent with 5+ years experience with embedded programming. DESIRED SKILLS· Knowledge of the RADVISION SIP protocol stack.· Experience with Real Time Linux and VxWorks desired.· Knowledge the following network communications protocols strongly desired: SIP, SDP, RTP, RTCP, TLS, SRTP, DNS SRV, TCP/IP, HTTP, SNMP, DHCP, and NTP
