- Graduate in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc Electrical Engineering).
- Minimum 8 years experience in protection of EHV & HV transmission & distribution
Position : Water Control Engineer
Description :
1. Manages the operations of the National Water Control Center inclusive of at least 15 main Reservoir stations, primary water mains from the Water Producers and Pumping Stations' rising mains
2. Checks the efficient water purchasing from all Water Producers based on PWPA (Power & Water Purchase Agreements) & the efficient water distribution to the customers.
3. Checks the Daily Operational Report inclusive of water balance on production, forwarding & distribution.
4. Sends all defects to Maintenance Section/ General Services and follow-up the rectification of such defects.
5. Recommends an improvement on the existing operation system on the assigned reservoir stations and assists Pipe Engineer if required in any work related activities on the supervision of field activities and outline strategies relating to on-site distillate, rising or distribution main breakage.
6. Checks the monthly, quarterly and yearly operational report of Operations and submit to Head of Control Center Section.
7. Recommends to the Head of Section the water distribution pumping hours to different water towers and maintains adequate stock in the reservoirs in coordination Operations Engineer.
Pre-Requisites :
a. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical or Sanitary Engineering.
b. Minimum 10 years in the operations of "Water Control Center", Reservoirs, Pumping & Chlorination stations.
c. At least two (2) years experience in Water SCADA System.
d. Pipe Hydraulic modeling of at least three (3) years.
