Description:
Evaluates defects, non conformance issues, and test or other data to resolve manufacturing, service or shipping issues and assure quality and timely delivery.
Develops, implements, and monitors quality measurements for production processes.
Creates work station profiles for every work station for all assembly lines.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, i.e., tools, fixtures, testers, and production line.
Confirms Bill of Materials from engineering on pre-production run and feeds configurator, verifying accuracy and completion of data entry; ensures output matches configurator data.
Repairs, scraps and processes credit for non conformance rejects for all parts in that status.
Confers with purchasing to determine product specification from new supplier and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Analyzes and plans assembly process and flow, space requirements, and designs or works with other team members to layout equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Complies with the companys regulatory guidelines and corporate policies at all times.
Maintains confidentiality regarding the company, products, and employee information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or related field. Two to four years of related experience/ training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electronics knowledge preferred. TQM or Lean Manufacturing certificate preferred.
